Wedding planning in Kochi, Kerala

Wedding planners in Kochi for every Kerala tradition

A Kerala wedding is rarely one event. It is a betrothal, a Haldi or Mehndi night, the ceremony and a reception, often across several days and venues. Marko Events plans all of it as one programme from our studio in Kalamassery, so you can be a guest at your own wedding.

Traditions

Planned around your customs, not a template

Every tradition has its own order of events, its own timings and its own non negotiables. We plan to them.

Christian weddings

From betrothal to the wedding Mass

We coordinate with the parish on timings, décor limits and photography rules inside the church, then run the reception programme: cake ceremony, toasts, first dance and send off.

Hindu weddings

Scheduled backwards from the muhurtham

Mandap design with nilavilakku and flowers, Sadya catering, and nadaswaram and chenda melam booked so the procession and ceremony land on time.

Muslim weddings

Nikah, Mehndi and Walima

Mehndi nights with music and décor, Nikah arrangements, separate seating where required, and Walima receptions catered to the family’s preferences.

Pre wedding

Engagements, Haldi and Sangeet

Themed décor, music and choreography, photography coordination and family logistics for the smaller functions that still need a plan.

Destination

Weddings beyond Kochi

Kumarakom, Alappuzha, Munnar, Varkala and Fort Kochi, with guest travel, hotel blocks and rain plans. See destination weddings.

Questions

Wedding planning FAQ

How early should we book a wedding planner in Kochi?

Six to twelve months ahead is ideal. Popular venues and parish dates between November and February fill early. For a closer date, call us and we will tell you honestly what is achievable.

How much does a wedding planner cost in Kochi?

It depends on guest count, the number of functions, the venue and décor scope, and whether you want full planning or day of coordination. After a short brief we send an itemised proposal so you can see where every rupee goes and adjust any line before committing.

Can you work with vendors we have already booked?

Yes. We bring your vendors into the run sheet alongside ours, so everyone works to the same timings on the day.

Do you plan weddings outside Kochi?

Yes. We plan weddings across Kerala, including Thrissur and Kottayam, and destination weddings in Kumarakom, Alappuzha, Munnar, Varkala and Fort Kochi.

Do you arrange Sadya and other traditional catering?

Yes. We source and coordinate caterers for Sadya and other menus, matched to the ceremony and the family's preferences.
